Nowata Community Foundation is a collection of endowed funds and individual contributions that benefit the charitable organizations, programs, and special projects of Nowata. Our purpose is to provide a steady source of income to our community, along with special grants.

How funds work.
By bringing funds together, the NCF is able to provide investment and grant making support. Funds can be created by individual donors to meet their personal giving goals or by non-profit organizations as a source of long-term endowment and annual income. Because funds are endowed, donors create gifts that can last beyond their lifetimes.

1899
NOWATA IS FOUNDED.
The root of our town name comes from the Delaware tribe and the Delaware word “no-we-ata” meaning “welcome”.
2017
NCF BEGINS.
Established in 2017 at the request of Dan Arnold, a Nowata native who deeply loved the community and believed in its future.
2018
OUR FIRST GRANT IS GIVEN.
Gifting $1,500 to Nowata Public Schools, we officially launch our philanthropic efforts in Nowata.
2022
WE GROW & FLOURISH.
We add new board members, invest back into Nowata, and sponsor over local projects.
